The diaspora's votes for the May 11 elections are not affecting the distribution of parliamentary seats among political forces, but rather the ranking of candidates on open lists. Therefore, the votes of Albanians abroad are proving significant in terms of the ranking of candidates within the same party.

The first region to close the counting of Diaspora votes for both subjects and preferential votes is Kukës.

Based on the results, the only change that has occurred in this district is the mandate received by Isuf Çela, who with the votes within the country, did not manage to enter the new Assembly, as the most voted was Shkëlqim Shehu. The latter lost in the ranking, as about 60 more Albanians from the diaspora voted for Isuf Çela, taking Shehu's place.

For the rest, the Diaspora votes in Kukës seem to serve only for statistics, as the DP-ASHM had received 2 out of 3 mandates in this district with domestic votes.
