A 38-year-old man, who was distributing cocaine in the Mëzez area, has been arrested by Tirana Police during an anti-drug operation codenamed "Destination".
The arrested person is AK, 38 years old, resident of Tirana. According to the police, he was arrested following information obtained from the operational work of specialists from the Narcotics Investigation Section.
During the search of the Audi vehicle, which the 38-year-old was driving in the village of Mëzez, officers found about 100 grams of suspected cocaine. According to preliminary investigations, the drug was divided into doses and is suspected to be ready to be distributed.
As material evidence, the police seized the suspected amount of cocaine, as well as the vehicle used by the arrested person.
" Tirana Police has continued its crackdown on the distribution of hard drugs, finalizing the operation codenamed "Destination", as part of actions against the trafficking and sale of narcotics in various areas of the capital.

According to the Police, during the search of the "Audi" vehicle driven by the 38-year-old, a bag containing approximately 100 grams of suspected cocaine was found, which was suspected to have been prepared for sale.
As material evidence, narcotics and the vehicle in which the arrested person was traveling were seized.
The operation took place after the rapid administration of information provided by the operational work of specialists from the Narcotics Investigation Section, who are continuing controls to crack down on drug distribution in the capital.
"The procedural materials have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further investigative actions," the police announced.
