Senafi Nuredini and Musa Xhaviti were captured as part of Operation "Fury", while Xhenkiz Rushiti is suspected of providing them with forged documents.
Two young men wanted by the North Macedonian authorities have been arrested in Durrës, while a third person has also been arrested, accused of the criminal offenses of "Supporting the perpetrator of a crime" and "Forgery of documents".
The arrested have been identified as: Senafi Nuredini, Musa Xhaviti and Xhenkiz Rushiti.
Senafi Nuredini and Musa Xhaviti were internationally wanted by INTERPOL, as Macedonian authorities were seeking them for the criminal offenses of murder, wounding, illegal possession of weapons, and committing criminal offenses within a criminal organization.
During the search, the Police found suspected forged identification documents on the two arrested persons, which they allegedly used to travel outside North Macedonia with the aim of evading justice authorities.
Following the operation, Xhenkiz Rushiti, 26, was also arrested, who is suspected of having provided the two wanted persons with forged documents. During the search of his apartment, a small amount of suspected narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa was found and seized.
The arrests were carried out as part of the operation codenamed "Fury", conducted by the Special Operations Force Directorate, in cooperation with the Durrës Local Police Directorate, American law enforcement partners, and North Macedonian authorities.
"As a result of close and intensive cooperation between specialized structures of the State Police and international partners, through joint investigative teams and coordinated operational actions, the services of the Special Operations Force Directorate of the Criminal Police Department at the DPSSh, in cooperation with American law enforcement partners with a presence in the region, with the services of the DVP Durrës and with counterparts in the Republic of North Macedonia, finalized the operation codenamed "Fury".
As part of this operation, citizens M. Xh., 26 years old, born in Skopje, and SN, 34 years old, born in Norway, were located, arrested in Durrës and placed in handcuffs.
For these citizens, INTERPOL has issued international arrest warrants for: murder, injury, illegal possession of weapons and committing criminal offenses within the framework of a criminal organization, in the Republic of North Macedonia.
During the search, the Police services found suspected forged identification documents on the arrested persons, which were allegedly used to travel outside the Republic of North Macedonia, with the aim of avoiding the justice system in this country.
Subsequently, a citizen from the Republic of North Macedonia, Xh. R., 26 years old, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of “Supporting the perpetrator of a crime” and “Forgery of documents”, after allegedly providing the wanted citizens with suspected forged identification documents. During the searches in his apartment, the Police services found and seized, as material evidence, a small amount of suspected narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
