Michael Schumacher's family continues to fiercely protect the Formula 1 legend's privacy, however, recent statements from his wife, Corinna Schumacher, have shed light on their lives after the tragic accident that changed the course of everything.
In the documentary dedicated to the seven-time Formula 1 world champion, Corinna spoke about the challenges the family has faced since December 29, 2013, when Schumacher suffered a serious accident during a ski descent in the French Alps.
"It was just bad luck. All the bad luck a person can have in life," said Corinna, recalling the moment that changed her family's life forever.
She indicated that Michael's absence is felt every day, but emphasized that his presence continues to be an important support for the entire family.
"I miss Michael every day. But it's not just me. Our children, our family and his father miss him too. And yet Michael is here. He's different, but he's here. And that gives us strength," she said.
The documentary also brings moments from the personal life of the former Ferrari and Mercedes driver, revealing a side of him that the public has rarely known, far from the focused and reserved figure that appeared on the track.
Corinna remembered that Michael was a man with a lot of humor and was very loving in everyday life.
"At parties, he was always the first to arrive and the last to leave. We laughed a lot. He didn't have a singing voice, but he always sang 'My Way' because he knew all the words," she recalled.
Despite the public's continued interest, the Schumacher family has chosen to remain silent about the former champion's health since his 2013 accident.
Over the years, only unconfirmed reports and speculation have been published, while official information has been scarce.
What is known is that Michael Schumacher continues to receive specialized care and physical therapy. According to reports published over the years, he is breathing on his own and undergoing ongoing rehabilitation treatments, while the family continues to request respect for his privacy.
