Security camera footage documenting the murder of 54-year-old Bardha Ziçi in Shkodra has been published, a crime for which her husband, Shtjefën Ziçi, has been arrested.
In the footage provided, the 62-year-old is first seen entering the apartment and, just moments later, emerges with a shotgun in his hands. He opens the courtyard gate, checks the surrounding area and then enters the family business premises, where his wife was.
A few seconds later, two gunshots are heard, which proved fatal for Bardha Ziçi. After the crime, the perpetrator calmly leaves the scene and is seen talking on the phone.
The camera footage has not been released for ethical reasons, but it is considered important evidence in the investigation.
Meanwhile, Shtjefën Ziçi's testimony has changed. He initially admitted to the police that he had killed his wife, while later stated that the gun was fired unintentionally. However, according to the same source, camera footage contradicts this claim and documents his movements before and after the execution.
The couple were parents to two grown children. The son lives in Canada, while the daughter lives in Shkodra.
