Albanian model Ajsel Abazi has made a public reaction to her former partner, footballer Eros Grezda, accusing him of being absent from their son's life and of being disengaged as a parent.
Through a series of posts on Insta Story, Abazi said he decided to break his silence not to attack his ex-partner, but to speak out about parental responsibility and his son's well-being.
According to her, Grezda was absent from her son's 3rd birthday party, she only sees him once a month and, although she has always had the opportunity to spend time with him, she has not done so.
"Being absent from your son's 3rd birthday, while just two days ago you were in Tirana with your partner, is an absence that cannot be covered with excuses. Meeting your child only once a month, even though the door has always been open, is a choice," the model writes.
Abazi explains that she has no problem with the fact that her ex-partner has started a new relationship, but says that she is concerned that, according to her, the boy is no longer a priority.
She also reveals that she had wanted co-parenting to work between them, but communication was limited to maintain the child's calm and stability.
In her reaction, the model emphasizes that a child does not only need gifts or beautiful moments, but above all the constant presence of a parent.
"There is a big difference between being a biological parent and being a present parent. A child does not measure love with gifts or promises, but with time, presence, and commitment ," she writes.
At the end of the reaction, Abazi reveals that her statements are also based on communications between them on WhatsApp, which she has chosen not to publish out of respect for their privacy and that of their son.
Until now, Eros Grezda has not publicly reacted to the accusations made by his ex-partner.
Aysel Abazi's full reaction:
I have never been one of those people who choose to put personal stories out on social media. I have always believed that some things should be resolved away from the eyes of others. But there are moments when silence is no longer a strength, especially when it comes to a child who has no voice to express what he feels. Therefore, today I am deciding to speak publicly.
This is not a post about revenge, nor to denigrate anyone. It is not even a plea for attention. It is a reflection on what it means to be a parent and the responsibility that never ends, no matter how our personal lives change.
Despite everything, I made a choice that I will never change: I raised my son with love and respect for his father. I did not want my disappointments to become a burden for him. He loves his father very much and I never wanted to diminish that love. Because I believe that a child should not bear the weight of his parents' relationship. What I want is for this love to have the opportunity to be nourished by presence, not just by absence and expectation.
This article is not meant to judge anyone or to incite hatred. It is a reminder that children do not need perfect parents, but they do need parents who choose them every day. Because lost time cannot be regained, and the voids left by the absence of a parent often remain long in a child's heart.
A couple's separation should never be the separation of a parent from their child. Relationships end, but the responsibility and love for a child should remain unchanged.
Everything I have written is based on our experiences and communications on WhatsApp, which I have chosen not to make public, at least for the time being, out of respect for privacy and, above all, for our son.
If this article makes even one single parent reflect and choose to be more present in their child's life, then they have achieved their goal.
