Fire on the Fier-Vlora highway

A large-scale fire engulfed vegetation along the Fier-Vlora highway this afternoon, creating serious difficulties in vehicle traffic.

According to information from the field, the flames have spread along a segment of about 2 kilometers, while thick smoke has significantly reduced visibility, making it dangerous for vehicles to pass on this road axis.

Immediately after the fire was reported, several firefighting vehicles were dispatched to the area, while teams are working to localize the flames and prevent them from spreading to other areas and agricultural areas near the highway.

Authorities appeal to drivers to exercise maximum caution while passing through this segment. Drivers are advised to reduce speed, respect temporary signage and traffic police instructions, until the fire is completely extinguished and normal traffic is restored.
