One person has been declared wanted by the police, while investigations continue to identify four other citizens who are suspected of having participated in a violent event recorded in Fushë Arrëz.
The incident took place in the village of Arst, where Skënder Nika and Bardhe Nika were attacked by several people who, according to preliminary information, had ambushed them on the road. After their arrest, the perpetrators are suspected of having physically assaulted the couple.
Sources from the investigation indicate that Kristian Bala, who is suspected of having also threatened the couple's son Nika, has been declared wanted.
According to preliminary information, the conflict is thought to have arisen due to disagreements regarding the division of territories for strawberry picking.
The police are continuing their efforts to capture the wanted person and identify other people involved in the incident.
Meanwhile, yesterday Skënder Nika gave his testimony about the incident, indicating that he was attacked by five masked people while returning from work.
According to Nika, the perpetrators wore clothing similar to those of the RENEA forces and initially introduced themselves as police officers.
Nika said she did not understand what happened next, as the perpetrators immediately started hitting her.
According to him, the only conflict that could be linked to the incident is a clash that occurred four days ago with a family in the village over issues related to strawberry cultivation.
"I was returning from work at the HEC. Five people came up to me and told me to stop, police. I stopped them, they were wearing masks and clothes similar to those of RENEA. One had an automatic rifle, the others had rubber batons. I don't know what happened, they just shot me. And I know they told me once not to scream, then the woman came out and they beat her too.
"Four days ago I had a conflict with a family in the village over strawberries. I had the same conflict with them 4 years ago, they accused me of spying. I asked them to swear that I did everything I could that I did not accuse or spy on anyone, but they did not accept it. This is the only conflict," he says.
