The protests and the departure of MP Marjana Koçeku from the Socialist parliamentary group seem to have set the prime minister in motion. Amid growing discontent within the Socialist Party, criticism from prominent socialist figures and recent political tensions, Rama has urgently called ministers and MPs to a meeting at the Brigades Palace.
The departure of Marjana Koçek from the ranks of the Socialist Party and the protests that have gripped the country for nearly 3 weeks seem to have put Edi Rama in motion. The Prime Minister has urgently called a meeting at the Brigades Palace on Saturday at 10:00, which will be attended by Socialist ministers and MPs.
Hundreds of people have been in the square for 19 days demanding the resignation of Edi Rama and the prime minister seems to be starting to worry. On the other hand, the situation in the Socialist Party does not appear to be at all calm. After the criticism and dissatisfaction expressed time and time again by Braçe and Spiropali, the biggest blow came from Marjana Koçeku, known as Neomalësorja, who announced her departure from the socialist parliamentary group, without giving more reasons for her decision.
Also, the MP, who has already passed as an independent, has opened a debate with the Bajra tribe in Shkodra and has recently been attacking the Socialist Party, causing quite a bit of trouble for the prime minister. In these conditions, Rama has decided to gather ministers and MPs in a meeting that comes at a delicate moment for both the government and the majority.
The notice of the meeting was sent to the deputies just a short time ago and everyone must attend.
So, it seems that Rama has set in motion to put his own in line, while there have been rumors that there may be other names that could rise up. The protests have completely shaken the political caste. Rama tries to neglect them, but he cannot hide his concern. On the other hand, there are many figures like Ditmir Bushati or Arta Dade who have come out on the side of the protesters, not to mention Arben Malaj, who is critical of the prime minister. Nje grup zuzaresh ne krye te nje shteti te vjedhur deri ne kocke. Njeri me milioner se tjetri dhe mblidhen dhe bejne moral. Te krimbur ne para korrupsioni, te trembur per te ardhmen e tyre.
