Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted again to the protests against the project in Zvërnec, ironizing the protesters and those who, according to him, are presenting the resolution approved by the European Parliament as a victory.

In a post on social media, Rama said that some of the protest supporters are celebrating a success that is unrelated to the Zvërnec issue.

"Some famous scoundrels who remembered that the sea turned sour because of their rusty spoons are telling the flamingos that yesterday's European Parliament resolution was their first victory," he writes.

The Prime Minister claims that the amendment approved by MEPs is not related to the Pishë Poro-Nartës area, where the project is being opposed, but to another protected area.

"The 'victory' amendment was defeated, while the approved amendment has no connection to Zvërnec, that is, to the protected landscape of Pishe Poro-Nartë," Rama declares.

In his reaction, Rama again uses the metaphors of "flamingos", "crows" and "ravens", accusing opponents of the project of misinforming citizens and inciting tensions through social networks.

He also attacked public figures and activists who support the protest, calling them instigators of a "digital hysteria."

"Reviewing the concept of 'victory' would especially help VIPs who have fallen from political ranks and those who have been inflated with Botox from flattery and followers," Rama wrote.

According to the Prime Minister, the changes to the law on protected areas will be part of the negotiation process with the European Union and will undergo a joint analysis with the European Commission to verify compliance with EU standards.

"Some famous rascals who remembered that the sea turned sour because of their rusty spoons are telling the flamingos that yesterday's European Parliament resolution was their first victory!"

In fact, the truth is that the flamingos had the victory in their pocket without starting protests, despite the fact that they don't want to see it as they are enjoying the beautiful parade on the boulevard among the crows, ravens and jays, because as far as the Socialist Party and I are concerned, environmental protection and development in harmony with nature in areas with particular sensitivity is an unquestionable priority.

As for the first "victory", they are misinformed by crows and ravens, because the "victory" amendment was defeated, while the approved amendment has no connection with Zvërnec, that is, with the protected landscape of Pishe Poro - Nartë, but specifically with the protected area of Nartë - Vjosë where the government shares absolutely the same position with the MEPs. And this is not a play on words with place names, but the truth of the facts that come from official technical documentation, not from social channels.

Regarding the review of the amendments to the law on protected areas, MEPs will be informed that it is part of the negotiation agenda and as such will initially be in an analytical process with the Commission, where we will identify any points that do not comply with EU criteria and standards.

"As stated above, reviewing the concept of "victory" would especially help VIPs who have fallen from political feasts and those who have been inflated with Botox from flattery and followers, so that after lustful indulgence in inciting digital hysteria, they would prepare for an awakening without the unbearable pain of disappointment from the end of the imaginary revolution," Rama writes.
