Meghan Markle, the wife of Prince Harry of England, risks losing $5 million if she fails to sell her jams before they expire.

In an effort to sell products for her lifestyle brand, As Ever, Markle has teamed up with wellness beverage company Clevr Blends to launch a new collaboration with matcha tea.

The Duchess of Sussex announced the $56 Strawberry Matcha Set on Instagram on Tuesday, which is already sold out. The product was created as part of a collaboration between her brand, As Ever, and the California-based company run by her friend, Hannah Mendoza.

"I have been a proud supporter of Hannah and Clevr Blends for so many years," she wrote in the caption of a photo of herself chatting with Mendoza at a table.

"I'm so excited to be collaborating with one of my favorite friends and two of my favorite brands ," Markle, 44, continued.

Mendoza reposted the former actress's photo, writing:

"The sweetest. I'm always so proud to say that Clevr gets its strength from women supporting each other. Much love."

The company also promoted the new blend, calling it "the sweetest collaboration" and saying it includes "everything you need for a smooth, carefree, jam-packed summer matcha latte."

As reported on the As Ever website, the matcha blend comes with Markle's "favorite" strawberry cream and decorative pastry flowers.

The package quickly sold out and is no longer available. Markle has been a longtime investor and customer of Clevr Blends, and in 2023 she appeared in a coffee commercial for the company. The former “Suits” star’s new collaboration comes, however, after a report claimed she could suffer a multi-million dollar loss if she doesn’t sell her As Ever jams before they expire.

According to the same information, she has until next summer to sell the stock, while the loss of profits could increase if she fails to sell both the decorative pastry flowers and the tea jars, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Markle launched the As Ever brand in April 2025, selling jams, teas, and cookie and crepe mixes. At the time, the Duchess of Sussex sold out of her entire stock within minutes and restocked the products a few months later.

She reportedly ordered ten times more than her original order due to increasing demand and continued to replenish her stock as products ran out.

Sources previously told Page Six that Meghan Markle was left with a huge surplus of jam after a technical glitch on the website revealed that she had approximately 650,190 unsold jars. However, despite the reports, the former royal's company's official financial and trading figures have not been made public.

A spokesperson for Markle also told Page Six: "The problem with all these repeated doomsday stories from Alison Bosoff in the Daily Mail to As Ever is that they're reminiscent of 'Groundhog Day': the same prediction, the same anonymous sources, the same certainty, and yet we're still waiting for the Apocalypse they promised us in 2024."
