
A 29-year-old man from Puka has been arrested by police after being caught transporting a quantity of drugs, explosives and ammunition by boat to Tropoja.
Police inform that the 29-year-old with the initials LP, had transported the drugs, ammunition and the exhibit by boat across the lake, from the village of Apripë, Pukë, to Tropojë with the intention of then sending them to Kosovo.
During the operation, 1.2 kilograms of cannabis, 405 grams of TNT, 51 detonator capsules, 5 m of fire-retardant fuse, combat ammunition, as well as a quantity of lek were seized.
Meanwhile, investigations are continuing to fully unravel the case and identify the person who purchased them in Kosovo.

The services of the Kukës DVP, in cooperation with the services of the Tropoja Police Commissariat and with the support of the services of the "Eagle" Special Force, based on information obtained in the operational route that a citizen would transport a quantity of narcotics and explosives to Kosovo, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Varkëtari".
As a result of this operation, citizen LP, 29 years old, resident of Puka, was arrested in flagrante delicto.
This citizen was caught red-handed by the Police services in the village of Dushaj, driving a "Volkswagen" type vehicle, in which he had hidden narcotics, explosives and combat ammunition inside the trunk, which he allegedly transported by boat across the lake, from the village of Apripë, Pukë, to Tropojë, where he had parked the vehicle in order to avoid Police control.
"In cooperation with the Prosecution and Kosovo counterparts, work continues to clarify and fully document this case, with the aim of identifying and apprehending the person who would purchase them in Kosovo," the police announced.
