A sexual scandal has involved the Dibra Police, where a police officer has been arrested for sexual assault.
The police officer, through blackmail and threats, committed sexual intercourse with violence.
Two other people are also under investigation for 'threats not to report' and 'supporting the perpetrator'.
The perpetrator had fled to Kosovo immediately after a report was filed against him. Today, he was stopped by AMP agents upon entering Albania.
" The Police Supervision Agency (Kukës - Dibër Region) has detained the police officer Inspector JU, on duty at the time of the commission of the criminal offense as Deputy/Specialist of the General Patrol at the Dibër Police Commissariat and currently on duty as Deputy/Specialist in the Section for Operational Support of Investigation at the Dibër DVP, suspected of committing the criminal offenses "Forced sexual relations with adults" and "Abuse of office", provided for in articles 102 and 248 of the Criminal Code.
Following the investigative actions regarding the event of 17.11.2025, where after the report of citizen LH, who alleged that the police officer, through blackmail and threats, had committed sexual intercourse with violence, AMP has also sent additional procedural materials for citizen MU, suspected of the criminal offense "Threat not to report" provided for in Article 311 of the Criminal Code, and citizen AK, suspected of the criminal offense "Supporting the perpetrator in a crime" provided for in Article 302 of the Criminal Code.
After investigations using special investigative methods, it was determined that the police officer had during this time left for the Republic of Kosovo and today it became possible to detain him by AMP agents at the moment of entering the territory of the Republic of Albania. "- announces AMP.
