A wooden bar has caught fire and completely burned down in Ksamil. The “Bumble Bee” bar was used by citizen KI, 41 years old, who had rented it from citizen Ramadan Zoto alias Ramadan Canaj, 42 years old, currently detained for injuring 2 people on July 17 in Saranda.
Zoto was arrested on August 22. The 43-year-old was internationally wanted for several charges, in addition to his involvement in the double stabbing in Saranda.
"Around 03:10, in Ksamil, a fire broke out and completely burned down a wooden-built restaurant, rented by citizen KI. The investigation team is working to clarify the circumstances of the incident and the cause of the fire," the police announced.
Who is Ramadan Zoto?
Ramadan Zoto alias Ramadan Canaj, 43 years old, was previously convicted in Greece for murder and illegal possession of weapons and is currently on trial in Saranda for "assault due to duty".
He is considered a high-risk person, as he exchanged fire with the Greek police several years ago during his activities in Greece.
His brother, Erjon Canaj, 35 years old, is also wanted.
In December 2022, Canaj raped the guard of the Saranda hospital, while in February 2024 he was arrested in his apartment with 2 pistols but was declared innocent by the Saranda Court a few months ago.
