Italian investigative journalist Nello Trocchia, author of the book "Invincibili", has brought attention back to the rise and sophistication of Albanian criminal clans in Italy, through a video recently published on Facebook.

Trocchia, widely known as the journalist who uncovered the "Aruba" affair, brings new details on the connections between the world of the elite, organized crime and Albanian structures operating in Rome and beyond.

The focus of the narrative is the figure of Matteo Costacurta, a character who moves between Roman aristocratic circles, the polo club in Parioli and a “clean” public image, but who, according to Trocchia, behind the scenes acts as a hired killer on behalf of Albanian bosses. Known by numerous nicknames such as “Matteo di San Giovanni”, “Principe” or “San Pietro”, Costacurta is described as a figure with a passion for weapons and luxury, far from the classic profile of street crime.

One of the Albanian bosses, Elvis Demçe, describes Costacurta as a man who “walks around quietly for hours without knowing that someone else is holding the ‘start button,’” underscoring the clandestine control that the clans exercise over their executioners. According to Trocchia, Costacurta does not kill for money – he has that – but for passion, illustrating a reality where crime is no longer simply a necessity, but a choice and a status.

The Italian journalist also reveals trips to Lebanon, networks of dark relationships and a birthday celebrated on the premises of a person convicted of the Bologna massacre, where Fabrizio Piscitelli, known as Diabolik, another serious name of Roman crime, was also present.

All of this, according to Trocchia, is documented and analyzed in the book "Invincibili", which he describes as the first investigative book on the Albanian mafia, arguing that these clans are no longer the periphery of Italian crime, but central actors, capable of penetrating elites, building alliances and operating with modern and discreet methods.

" A noble family, the polo club in Parioli and a pistol always close by. They call him by many names: Matteo of Saint John, the Prince or Saint Peter. His real name is Matteo Costacurta, he has a passion for the raised hand (a clear political reference), for the game of polo and for weapons. In reality, his job is to kill for hire on behalf of Albanian bosses. One of them, Elvis Demçe, describes it this way: 'Think about it, someone walks with Saint Peter on his back 8 hours a day, every day, and has no idea that I have the button to start the movie. It's just that, to stop it, he doesn't understand the movie at all. I have to wait for the right moment, otherwise the weather would have been told before Jesus Christ.'

Costacurta doesn't kill for money, he has plenty of it. He shoots for fun. Because in Rome there are those who shoot out of boredom and there are those who do it out of passion. I will tell you about Costacurta's trips to Lebanon, about his connections, contacts, and about a special birthday party at the headquarters of a convict for the Bologna massacre. At that party was also a friend of his: Fabrizio Piscitelli, known as Diabolik ", he says. / Pamphlet
