An IKMT inspector in Kukës, identified as Defrim Haziraj, has been arrested by police, after allegedly threatening the director of the institution where he worked.
The cause of the conflict was the fine imposed on his uncle's son, who was carrying out construction activities without the appropriate permit.
The investigation revealed that the inspector abused his authority by failing to take measures to stop the excavation of land that his cousin was carrying out in the Krenza area, in Kukës, without legal authorization.
The violation was ascertained by the head of IKMT, who ordered an on-site inspection and then an administrative punishment for the violator. This decision was not well received by the inspector, who is suspected of threatening the life of the IKMT director.
In addition to arresting the inspector, the police have also prosecuted the builder, his cousin, for violating the law in the field of construction and land use.
