Durrës police have cracked down on another prostitution case. It is learned that 2 Colombian girls, both 26 years old, have been arrested. Meanwhile, a 22-year-old resident of Burrel will be investigated while at large.
According to the police, the young people practiced prostitution in a rented apartment in the Shkëmbi i Kavajës area.
During the searches conducted in this area, the police seized the passports of two 26-year-olds, sums of money in lek and foreign currency, 3 mobile phones, a notepad, and several SIM cards.
"Following the successive strikes carried out by the structures of the Durrës DVP, the Trafficking Investigation Section together with the Special Operational Force, the 11th phase of the police operation codenamed "Storm" was finalized, followed by special investigation methods for a period of several weeks, for the criminal offenses of "Prostitution" and "Adapting premises for prostitution."
As part of this phase of Operation "Storm", conducted in the area of Shkëmbi i Kavajës, Durrës, citizens L. S, 26 years old, and M. P, 26 years old, both residents of Colombia, were arrested for the criminal offenses of "Prostitution" and "Adapting premises for prostitution."
Citizen EM, 22 years old, resident of Burrel, was also prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Prostitution".
As material evidence, two passports of foreign citizens, sums of money in lek and foreign currency, 3 mobile phones, a notebook and several SIM cards were seized.
"The investigative actions carried out for the purposes of this proceeding resulted in these citizens having rented an apartment in the Shkëmbi i Kavajës area and having adapted it for the purpose of engaging in prostitution activities," the police announced.
