Durrës Police have provided details regarding a chase that occurred at noon this Monday, where a wanted person disobeyed a stop order, crashed into several parked vehicles and then left the scene.
According to the official announcement, at around 12:45, in neighborhood no. 14 of Durrës, the services of the Special Force "Eagle", during patrol, signaled a vehicle that was moving at high speed to stop. The driver of the vehicle did not obey the Police order and continued moving.
Police say that while attempting to flee, the driver of the vehicle, citizen Regi Xhanari, 31, crashed into five parked vehicles, causing only material damage. He then abandoned the vehicle and ran away from the scene.
Immediately after the incident, the Police services were put in pursuit of him and are conducting intensive checks in the area to locate and capture him.
Initial investigative actions revealed that the 31-year-old was wanted for the criminal offense of "Removing a prisoner from his place of residence", after he had violated the security measure of "house arrest", previously imposed for the criminal offense of fraud.
The investigation team continues to work to fully clarify and document the circumstances of this event.

While driving away, the driver of the vehicle, citizen R. Xh., crashed into 5 parked vehicles, causing only material damage. He then abandoned the vehicle and ran away from the scene.
Police services immediately began pursuing him and are conducting intensive searches in the area to locate and capture him.
From the first investigative actions it resulted that citizen R. Xh. was wanted for the criminal offense "Removing a prisoner from his place of residence", after he had violated the security measure "House arrest", assigned for the criminal offense "Fraud".
The investigative team continues its work to fully clarify and document the circumstances of the case.
