Footage from today's protest

The 23rd consecutive protest against Prime Minister Edi Rama has been accompanied by reactions from students and diaspora representatives, who have raised concerns about the education, representation, and treatment of emigrants who have returned to Albania to join the rallies.

A student who spoke to the protesters stated that young people are not seeking privileges, but institutions that are accountable and respect their rights.

" We are not asking for privileges, but for institutions that are accountable. We are asking for our voice to be heard, education is not a favor, but a right. Down with the system, prison for Edi Rama ," he said.

While another student said that young people represent the future and that change is inevitable.

" Prime Minister, this is your end because the future is us ," she declared.

One of the most discussed topics during the protest was the situation of immigrants who traveled to Albania to join the rallies.

A protester accused the government of imposing high fines on diaspora vehicles, describing this as a form of punishment against immigrants.

" How did Rama welcome the diaspora here? All the diaspora cars have been fined with the maximum fines. Over 125 thousand lek or 450 thousand lek. It is unacceptable that our sons are fined with the maximum fines. Shame! Rama resigns! Rama, you have disappointed us! ", she said.

According to the protester, many immigrants have faced difficulties at border crossings due to being forced to pay fines before leaving Albania.

" The immigrants need to go back to work and they haven't been allowed to cross the border without paying the fines. They had to go back because they had nowhere to pay the fines to leave again. Shame! " she said.

The protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office continues for the 23rd consecutive day, while organizers have stated that the rallies will continue in the coming days.
