A serious event has shocked the community of Topanica, Kamenica, after two sisters lost their lives in a fatal traffic accident on the A5 highway in Germany.
The victims have been identified as Erza Zubaku (24 years old) and Aulona Zubaku (18 years old), who died at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.
According to German police, two separate accidents were reported in the same area. The first incident occurred shortly after 11:30 a.m. near the Renchtal rest area, where two vehicles collided during a lane change maneuver. Due to the high speed, the drivers lost control of the vehicles, which remained blocked on the road. As a result of this accident, one person was seriously injured.
The obstacles created by the first accident forced the vehicles following to brake suddenly. This led to a second accident near the Appenweier junction, involving five vehicles.
Authorities say there were no injuries in four of the vehicles, while the two sisters traveling in a Smart vehicle died at the scene.
Investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident are still ongoing by German authorities.
