US President Donald Trump has warned that the United States will take necessary action if Iran does not comply with the framework agreement to end the conflict, including the possibility of returning to military action.
During a press conference, Trump was asked directly whether he would go back to war in the event of a violation of the agreement.
"I'll do what I have to do," he replied shortly.
When asked whether a new conflict could cause a global economic depression, President Trump expressed optimism.
" Not the way I'm doing it, it won't cause depression. As long as they respect us, we won't have any problems ," Trump said.
He also reiterated that Iran's military capabilities have been virtually destroyed after the recent fighting.
"Their navy is gone, their air force is gone, their leaders are all dead. Their whole country is a mess, their economy is shut down ," he said.
Trump expressed satisfaction with the progress of the current negotiations. He praised Vice President JD Vance, who has been leading the talks, calling him "a very smart guy" who "did a great job."
