Journalist Armand Shkullaku spoke about the civic protest on its 23rd day in Tirana, placing emphasis on political responsibility and the situation within the majority.
Shkullaku stated that the main demand of the protest for the removal of the government has, according to him, overturned the current political narrative, which justified Edi Rama's power with the lack of an alternative or a political opponent.
He emphasized that the responsibility for the political situation falls on Edi Rama, describing him as the factor that keeps the political system in the country blocked.
In his analysis, invited to the show 'Çim Peka LIVE' on SYRI TV, Shkullaku said that the protest has exposed, according to him, a closed political and propaganda system, which has maintained for years the narrative that the lack of an alternative is the reason for the continuation of power.
He accused Edi Rama of using propaganda and creating a distorted political reality, where external factors and various opponents are blamed for the country's problems.
Armand Shkullaku: The problem is that those who are there are looking for a non-negotiable point, they are looking for the government to leave. And this is precisely what the entire debate we have had up until now boils down to, using Berisha as an alibi to justify Rama's narco-state.
Why did he fall? What did they say? Why should Rama leave? Who should come next? Sali Berisha? Yes, Rama did not leave, because Berisha did not want him. They have a choice: Rama should leave, let them gather and form a technical government, let them open alternatives, let them change the Electoral Code, they will come out.
It is precisely the protest that has brought this down, that the problem is not the lack of an alternative or that there is no opposition, the problem is the one who keeps this stifled, who has the Constitution. Berisha could have been prime minister then, yes, but the whole problem is with the one who has the power.
Have we been saying so far that Rama will win the elections, man? What can you do? He told you 83 mandates, he could get 94. Now you put it there, because mandates don't work when they're stolen, because people come out on the streets and say your mandates are non-negotiable and you're going to leave.
So if there is a moment that our debate provides an explanation for, it is precisely this protest. The opposition will follow Sali Berisha into the abyss, let it go.
The point is who is holding the country hostage. Rama will win the elections no matter what they told us all these years. You said no, he stole them. But what did he steal, man. After all, he stole them. Where are 83 mandates stolen, 84 mandates? He didn't steal them, but Berisha is the one who gets 34 mandates. Now where will he take these mandates? Where can I put them? Tell me.
So neither a stolen vote nor a government's theft justify legitimacy, nor does the lack of an alternative. The lack of an alternative is a problem that society solves.
Do you solve it with new parties, do you solve it with youth, do you solve it with protests, or do you solve it by taking Berisha out of the game himself? They won't take Berisha out of the game, it's not even a question. Whoever wants to be prime minister only has two mandates. If the opposition is not going to be renewed, let it stay where it is. There are new forces.
So society has been held hostage by Edi Rama and by Edi Rama's propaganda that has often distorted us by saying that Berisha is to blame. We are the only country that has justified 14 years of banditry in the true sense of the word, systematic robbery, systematic theft, we have justified it with 'Sali Berisha is to blame'.
Condition number 1 is the non-negotiable resignation of Edi Rama. Or, the debate would be whether they have the right? Do they have the power? Do they have the legitimacy to demand the resignation of someone who has 84 mandates, or 86, including Tom Doshi's. This is another issue.
But the protest has shown that what, all those who have kept Edi Rama's monstrous propaganda and deception machine going, that he is powerful, that he wins elections and that there is no alternative on the other side, what the citizens are saying, have been held hostage and suppressed by a legend that you have seen what he says today.
The bloggers are to blame, Iran is to blame, Kazakhstan is to blame, Serbia is to blame, Albin is to blame, Tetovo is to blame. So, a totally perverted man, and you know very well that this is the end of all autocrats, a delirium and paranoia that goes towards the drain until they drag him away. That's it.
And neither the opposition nor anyone is to blame here. Edi Rama has stifled alternatives even within his own parties. It is enough to watch the images of men and women bowing their heads, as if someone had castrated them, and listen to the nonsense of the one who is again using the story of his child, who has been using it for 30 years and is the most shameless politician who can exist, to once again make the victim of a story that was victimized 20 or so years ago.
I don't know, that is, they all lowered their heads and listened. A person who dared to speak is also not part of the parliamentary group. So, this is the lack of an alternative, where even within the party of the crazy autocrat no one dares to say to him, you idiot, go home because you have brought both the party and Albania to our necks.
