The Korça Court has ordered a 40-day prison sentence for Alti Nallbati, the brother of DP MP Bledjon Nallbati.

The same measure was also given to Marsel Buçi and Trajan Çeliku.

The perpetrators and the injured party were friends. During the hearing, all three admitted to hitting him.

Defense attorneys requested that it be proven that the criminal offense of "illegal deprivation of liberty" was committed, as the latter claim that it was a "minor injury."

On October 27, the brother of Democratic MP Bledion Nallbati and two others forcibly took the 32-year-old from his apartment after he was under house arrest, and then took him to a private business, where they held him for several hours and mistreated him.

Alti Nallbati and Çeliku are charged with unlawful deprivation of liberty and intimidation, while Buçi is also charged with intentional light injury. Alti Nallbati was also the protagonist in the fight with his brother, a deputy, a few days before the May 11 elections.
