An adviser to Iran's supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has declared that the Strait of Hormuz has greater strategic importance than "dozens of atomic bombs," stressing that Tehran will continue to defend this vital sea route for oil transportation.
"This strategic sea route is more important than dozens of atomic bombs, and the Islamic Republic of Iran will protect it ," declared Mohsen Rezaei.
According to Rezaei, the Strait of Hormuz constitutes "one of the components of the country's deterrent force and plays a crucial role in ensuring national security and interests."
"The Strait of Hormuz acts as a strategic barrier, and Iran will protect the country's interests and security based on its defense capabilities and national strength," Rezaei said.
