Regarding the major debate about the allocation of four million euros from the state budget for the concert of international star Kanye West in Tirana, the famous singer and moderator Enxhi Nasufi has made an extremely strong and unabashed reaction on social networks.
Enxhi has openly exploded at what she considers a great social hypocrisy, where on the one hand the country faces numerous difficulties and on the other hand there is great enthusiasm to participate in a luxurious concert paid for with taxpayer money, and even from emergency funds.
Through a message on Instastory, she directly attacked the apathy and lack of response or collective dignity on the part of citizens.
She wrote verbatim in her response:
"Well, excuse me, but do you have any respect for yourself? 4 million or so euros from the emergency money and you throw it at Kanye? And abroad, could you show a little dignity and collective awareness for once in your life? No, you probably know two of Kanye's songs.
Don't be upset when they call you sheep and then ask a little, maybe some people there have still been given houses from earthquakes! And when fire hits you in the summer and floods in the fall, don't make a fuss! And when the great and the powerful put their foot on your throat harder, don't make a sound! Shut up!
With this strong statement, Enxhi has implied that silently accepting such staggering expenses, while the people's vital problems are neglected, is a surrender to oppression.
She has harshly criticized the fact that people choose to remain indifferent to the difficult situation in the country, but instead rush to become part of events that serve as a facade.
