Activist Andi Tepelena emphasized that the protests against the government have brought changes to the political climate and that an expansion of this movement is expected in September.

In an interview with News24, Tepelena, part of the protest organizing group, said that one of the main achievements of the 43-day revolt is breaking the fear of taking to the streets.

According to him, the fact that citizens with different political beliefs are participating in protests and the international echoes have influenced the change in public perception towards the government. The activist added that Rama is no longer a "Father God" as he has been discredited in the eyes of citizens.

"Regarding the achievements of the protest, the fear of protest was killed, a short time ago there was no protesting about anything. Society was reawakened. Until a month ago, when I spoke to Rama, he was all-powerful, he was a 'Godfather', he was all-powerful because he had opened all the links. Today he is discredited in the eyes of Albanians as the left and right come to the square every day, while the world media opens with headlines about what is happening in Albania and the corruption of the government," he said.

Tepelena stressed that the protests will continue more strongly in September and that organizers are working to include new interest groups.

"The protest is sustainable, there is nothing to scare us. In September there will be greater organization, we are in contact with interest groups and university professors. We are working to expand the interest groups. In September we expect the protest to multiply," he said.
