The US Department of Defense on Friday released 162 files, documents, testimonies, operational reports and videos related to UFO and unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) sightings, some of which date back nearly 80 years.
US authorities also created a special platform on the official war.gov website, where all declassified material has been uploaded, including video from military sensors, mission reports and technical analysis on recorded objects.
The release of the files follows an executive order by President Donald Trump in February, which called for full transparency on "extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) and unidentified flying objects (UFOs)."
The announcement was accompanied by statements from US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, FBI Director Kash Patel and NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman. Officials praised Trump's decision to release the documents, calling it an important step towards public transparency.
According to the US administration, citizens can now have direct access to videos, photographs and original documents that were previously classified or partially distributed among federal institutions.
However, even before the presidential order, the Pentagon had been gradually declassifying documents related to UFOs for years. US federal agencies commonly refer to these cases as “unidentified anomalous phenomena,” or UAPs.
Sean Kirkpatrick, physicist and former head of the All-Area Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) until 2023, stated that he has reviewed the published materials and does not expect any shocking discoveries.
"People shouldn't expect documents with pictures of aliens or interviews with extraterrestrial beings. That simply doesn't exist," he told the Associated Press.
Kirkpatrick added that many of the videos circulating as evidence of extraterrestrial technology have technical and mundane explanations. According to him, infrared cameras used by the US military often record aircraft engines or other hot objects, creating optical and thermal effects that are mistakenly interpreted as mysterious objects.
The AARO's first report for 2024 documented hundreds of new UAP cases, but found no evidence that the US government had ever confirmed the existence of extraterrestrial technology. A second report, covering the most recent cases, is expected to be released soon.
A White House spokesman stated that the Trump administration is aiming for "maximum transparency" for the American public.

Greqia përfshihet në dosjet e UFO-ve
Ndër vendet që përmenden më shpesh në materialet e publikuara është edhe Greqia. Në dosje gjenden disa raporte për fenomene ajrore të paidentifikuara të regjistruara në territorin grek ose në zonat detare pranë tij.
Dokumentet shoqërohen me raporte operative, analiza teknike dhe video të regjistruara nga sensorë ushtarakë amerikanë.
Në një nga rastet e raportuara, një operator ushtarak amerikan deklaron se ka vëzhguar një objekt ajror të paidentifikuar që fluturonte “vetëm pak metra mbi sipërfaqen e oqeanit”.
Raporti përshkruan objektin duke kryer “disa kthesa 90 gradë” me një shpejtësi të vlerësuar rreth 80 milje në orë.
Në një tjetër raport që lidhet me Greqinë, objekti përshkruhet si një UAP që “fluturonte drejt vijës bregdetare mbi sipërfaqen e detit”.
Video ushtarake nga viti 2023
Një prej videove më të komentuara zgjat 2 minuta e 57 sekonda dhe është regjistruar në vitin 2023 nga një sensor infra të kuq në një platformë ushtarake amerikane.
Raporti shoqërues me kodin “DoW-UAP-D33” përshkruan objektin duke fluturuar pranë sipërfaqes së oqeanit dhe duke kryer manovra të shumta me kthesa 90 gradë.
Sipas përshkrimit teknik të videos:
-Në sekondat e para, në ekran shfaqet një zonë kontrasti që hyn në fushën e sensorit.
-Nga sekonda 7 deri në 19, objekti lëviz horizontalisht ndërsa sensori përpiqet ta ndjekë.
-Më pas objekti mbetet i përqendruar në pamje për më shumë se një minutë.
-Në minutën e dytë, sensori aktivizon një rrjetë gjurmimi dhe përpiqet të sinkronizojë lëvizjen me objektin.
-Më vonë aktivizohet një filtër kontrasti për të dalluar më mirë objektin nga sfondi.
-Në fund, objekti humbet nga fusha vizuale dhe operatori ndryshon vazhdimisht nivelet e zmadhimit dhe kontrastit për ta rikthyer në fokus.
Objekti “në formë diamanti”
Një video tjetër, e regjistruar në vitin 2024 dhe me kohëzgjatje 1 minutë e 5 sekonda, tregon një objekt që sipas raportit ushtarak kishte “formë diamanti”.
Raporti “DoW-UAP-D7” përshkruan objektin duke lëvizur me një shpejtësi rreth 434 nyje detare. Operatori ushtarak raportoi se objekti mund të identifikohej vetëm përmes sensorëve infra të kuq me valë të shkurtra (SWIR).
Pamjet fillojnë me ekran të ndarë në dy pjesë:
-në njërën anë shfaqen pamje optike,
-ndërsa në tjetrën pamje infra të kuqe SWIR.
Sipas përshkrimit:
-the object becomes visible in the fourth second,
-at the tenth second the view switches to full SWIR screen,
-later the object is visually described as "an inverted teardrop-shaped point with a linear mass beneath it".
-At the 56th second the operator switches the sensor to normal visible spectrum and the object immediately disappears from view. Even after returning to SWIR mode, the object could not be identified again.
