At least two people have been killed and three others injured in a shooting that occurred this afternoon at the Fairlane Town Center Shopping Center in Dearborn, Michigan.
According to initial reports from authorities and local media outlets such as FOX 2 Detroit, gunshots were reported inside the mall at around 1:25 p.m. Three people were injured by gunfire, while two of them remain deceased, one at the scene and another at the hospital.
The incident appears to have started after an argument that escalated, with one person pulling out a gun and shooting. An innocent bystander was reportedly among the injured. The shopping mall was immediately placed on lockdown, while police cordoned off the area and conducted an investigation.

A video of the suspect with a gun has circulated on social media, but his identity has not yet been officially confirmed.
The incident came on the eve of the Fourth of July holiday, shocking area residents who considered Fairlane a relatively safe center for shopping and family entertainment. Authorities have not released further details about the identities of the victims, as the investigation continues.
