The July 4th celebrations in Washington were accompanied by a magnificent fireworks display, which lasted about 40 minutes and took place despite adverse weather conditions.

Organizers used about 850,000 fireworks, launched from ten different points in the US capital, including the area along the Potomac River and near the Lincoln Memorial.

The display lit up the sky over Washington, attracting thousands of spectators.

According to the organizers, the cost of the event was estimated at around $850,000, while the spectacle is expected to be considered for setting a new world record in Guinness World Records.

US President Donald Trump called the display "the best fireworks show of all time" in a post on social media, calling it one of the highlights of the United States' Independence Day celebrations.
