Tirana has officially appointed Dean Klafurić as the new coach of the first team, officially opening a new chapter on the eve of the 2026-2027 season. The news was made public by the white-and-blue club through an announcement on social networks, where the Croatian technician was introduced.
" With respect for history. With confidence for the future. Welcome, Dean Klafurić ," the club writes in the welcome message.
Upon his arrival in the capital, Klafurić has officially taken charge of the 26-time Albanian champions. His appointment is considered the first step in building the team for the new season, where Tirana aims to return to the competition for trophies.
In his first statement as coach of the white and blues, Klafurić emphasized teamwork and respect for the club's identity.
" I strongly believe in daily work, passion, love and teamwork. I did not come to change the DNA of Tirana, but to give my contribution to the club and help the players give their best ," said the Croatian coach.
With this appointment, Tirana's leaders aim to lay the foundations of a new project, with the objective of returning the team to the highest levels of Albanian football.
