After Trump's ultimatum, Netanyahu backs down: We will not respond to Iran

Following US President Donald Trump's ultimatum and signals of a reduction in tensions in the region, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel will not launch any further attacks on Iran.

However, he claimed that Israeli military operations have directly impacted stopping attacks by Hezbollah.

According to Netanyahu, the Lebanese militant group, backed by Tehran, has stopped exchanging fire with Israel after seeing the strength of Israeli operations against Iran.

"The shooting has stopped because after they saw what we did in Iran, they stopped attacking us ," the Israeli prime minister declared.

Netanyahu described Hezbollah as weaker than ever before, arguing that the military pressure exerted by Israel has changed the balance in the region.

However, he stressed that the Israeli military remains on full alert and warned that any potential attack by Hezbollah will be met with a strong response.

"If they attack us, we will retaliate with force, because Israel has the full right to self-defense," Netanyahu said.

His statements come at a time when diplomatic efforts to preserve the ceasefire and avoid a new escalation of the conflict in the Middle East continue to be the focus of the international community.
