FIFA has unveiled the new designs for the individual trophies that will be awarded to the most outstanding players at the end of the World Cup. These are the "Golden Ball", the "Golden Glove" and the "Golden Shoe", three of the most prestigious awards awarded during the most important football competition.
The trophies are made by sports brand Adidas and maintain the traditional lines that have characterized them over the years. With a golden color and an elegant design, they aim to reflect the importance and prestige of the awards they represent.
In the last edition of the World Cup, Lionel Messi was declared the winner of the “Golden Ball” as the best player of the tournament, Emiliano Martinez won the “Golden Glove” as the best goalkeeper, while Kylian Mbappe was awarded the “Golden Boot” as the best scorer. All three footballers were protagonists of the teams that reached the most advanced stages of the competition, showing that collective success often plays an important role in individual evaluations.
Expectations are high for this edition, especially regarding the competition for the “Golden Boot.” This award could receive special attention, as some of the world's football stars aim to go down in history as the top scorers of the World Cup.
Among the most talked-about names are Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi, who aim to approach or surpass the record of German legend Miroslav Klose. The former Germany striker currently holds first place in the historical ranking of World Cup scorers with 16 goals.
