Israel will stop attacks on Iran, accepting the request of the US administration, but is not expected to cease military operations in southern Lebanon.
The news was confirmed to CNN by two Israeli sources, according to whom Tel Aviv will respect Washington's request to stop striking Iran.
However, one of the sources described the situation as "very fragile", due to Tehran's warning that it will attack Israel again if the latter continues operations in Lebanon.
Earlier, Iran announced the suspension of its military operation against Israel, but accompanied the decision with a clear threat: the resumption of attacks if Israel does not stop its strikes in southern Lebanon.
In this context, stopping attacks on Iran is seen as a step towards reducing direct tensions between the two countries, but continuing operations in Lebanon keeps the risk of a new regional escalation open.
