Iran's threats have an effect, Trump calls Netanyahu and forces him to stop

He declared that there will be no troops going to Beirut and any forces that were in their path have already returned...

US President Donald Trump has held a phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and has demanded an immediate halt to any Israeli attack on Beirut, following serious Iranian threats that appear to have had an effect.

In a recent social media post, Trump described his conversation with Netanyahu as “very productive.” He stated that no troops will be going to Beirut and any forces that were in their path have already turned back.

" I had a very productive call with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu of Israel and there will be no troops going into Beirut, and any troops that are on their way have already been turned back. Also, through senior representatives, I had a very good call with Hezbollah and they agreed that all shooting will cease - that Israel will not attack them and they will not attack Israel ," Trump wrote.

The development comes after Iran significantly escalated its stance. The semi-official Tasnim news agency reported that the Iranian negotiating team has completely stopped exchanging messages with the United States due to the Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Iranian state television warned that the probability of the ceasefire with the US ending is very high if the attacks on Lebanon continue.

Iranian authorities have warned that they will take military action against northern Israel if Israeli attacks hit Beirut. Mohsen Rezaei, an adviser to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, stated that “the patience of the Islamic Republic’s armed forces has its limits” and stressed that the Strait of Hormuz remains under Iranian control, hinting at the possibility of its blockade. Iranian reports have also spoken of possible steps to close the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandeb.

President Trump's swift intervention appears to have succeeded in reducing immediate tension and preventing a dangerous escalation that could include direct Iranian attacks and disruption of global maritime oil traffic.

Just a few minutes later, Trump announced in another post on the social network "Truthsocial" that talks with Iran had begun and were progressing at a rapid pace.

"Talks are continuing, at a rapid pace, with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Thank you for your attention to this matter," Trump wrote.
