France has banned Israeli government representatives from attending the Eurosatory international defense fair, which takes place this month in Paris, the Israeli Defense Ministry announced.
According to the decision of the French authorities, Israeli defense industry companies will also not be allowed to exhibit offensive weapons systems. They will only be able to present products related to air defense.
The move comes a week after France banned Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir from entering its territory.
The decision was made after the publication of a video in which Ben-Gvir appeared to comment in triumphant tones while activists from the flotilla stopped by Israeli authorities knelt on the ground, blindfolded and handcuffed.
France has not yet provided further details on the official reasoning behind the restrictions placed on Israeli participation in the defense exhibition.
