Brutal scenes unfolded on Saturday morning in Vorizia, Crete, where a shootout between two families took place. So far, 3 people have been confirmed dead from the bloody incident, writes Ekathemierini.
The village turned into a battlefield, while gunshots were heard for a long time, causing panic among the residents of the area.
Strong police forces from Heraklion and Mesara have quickly arrived at the scene, while the head of the Greek Police and the head of the "Greek FBI" are rushing to the area.

A man from Athens, who happened to be at the scene, described the moments of terror he experienced. He stressed that he had been driving to Zaros for a coffee, passing through the village at the time of the events.
"Suddenly I saw a 4x4 car shooting in all directions. I didn't understand where the bullets were coming from. I just felt like I was in hell," said the witness, describing how his car was hit by multiple shots before he managed to escape unharmed at the last moment.
"I immediately notified the police and they told me to go home. The weapons must have been Kalashnikovs and many pistols. In fact, I also saw the dead man and, as I understood, the thing was rigged. I fell into the crossfire," the eyewitness added.
"At 11:00 I notified the police and escaped death. The bullets punctured the tire, while the car suffered extensive damage," he added.
