"Taxes are burying livestock farmers and dairies that produce cheese", Braçe: The action has nothing to do with food security

"Taxes are burying livestock farmers and dairies that produce cheese",

Socialist MP Erion Braçe has reacted with a post on social media regarding what he considers to be 'the burial of farmers and dairies that produce cheese' in the name of food security.

Braçe has published the case of the Tax Administration's inspection of a dairy in Zharnec, Divjaka, where 33 thousand kg of milk were seized and a fine of 40 million lek was imposed on the owner, arguing that he did not have tax receipts.

"I knew it would go like this. They asked for the receipts for the milk they received from the farmers and villagers. They took inventory and took the cheese and now they're going to take the money too!"

The cheese was not seized because its composition violates food safety, so it is not cheese with powdered milk and palm oil, but real cheese from the milk of the villagers of Zharnec, Kamenica, Kryekuqi, Guri, Miza, Xeng and Divjaka. But there is no invoice for that milk!

And of course, no one who makes real cheese has those receipts. Those who use powdered milk and palm oil, those who package it beautifully and make "industrial cheese," have the receipts. They have the receipts ready, because they don't have a problem!

"If you make real cheese, you can't wait for a bill. You don't make a profit, you lose money, or you go out of business because of the high price!", writes Braçe.

Divjakë – Where cheese is produced

This is not restoring food security; this is burying a worker!

From Saturday afternoon until yesterday at 02:00 in the morning, the Tax Administration and the National Food Authority (AKU) have been conducting an inspection at a small dairy in Zharnec, Divjaka – owned by Tan Mebelli. At the end of the inspection, they have seized 33,000 kilograms of cheese, months of production for the tourist season, and have imposed a fine of 40 million lek!

Don't be surprised! I knew it would go like this. They asked for the receipts for the milk they received from the farmers and the villagers. They took inventory and took the cheese... and now they're going to take the money too!

Now, be surprised:

The cheese was not seized because its composition violates food safety, so it is not cheese with powdered milk and palm oil, but real cheese from the milk of the villagers of Zharnec, Kamenica, Kryekuqi, Guri, Miza, Xeng and Divjaka. But there is no invoice for that milk!

And of course, no one who makes real cheese has those receipts. Those who use powdered milk and palm oil, those who package it beautifully and make "industrial cheese," have the receipts. They have the receipts ready, because they don't have a problem!

If you make real cheese, you can't wait for a bill. You don't make a profit, you lose money, or you go out of business because of the high price!

This is the truth!

Now I have a question for the Tax Administration:

In which large dairy processing plant have you ever done such an inventory based on invoices? In which one?

You're done with Tan and the entire coastal area of the Divjaka lagoon, you've buried it!

But if you go to ask for invoices and take inventory at large factories, you will have to arrest them for the horrific tax evasion, most of it instigated by us ourselves, by the VAT scheme we imposed on agriculture and livestock in 2018!

Tan, I wanted to come to you, but I can't... I'm ashamed!

I'm ashamed of what they did to you.

I'm so sorry!
