Serbia "awakens" passion for the national team, 100 thousand requests

The Albanian national football team is competing for a place in the 2026 World Cup play-offs. In November, the team will play its last two matches, against Andorra on the 13th away and three days later we host England in Tirana.

The duel on November 16 at 'Air Albania' is highly anticipated, as it could be a day of celebration for the Rossoneri to secure a place in the World Cup play-offs. The 18:00 challenge has an increased interest from fans and media reports indicate that the number of requests for tickets in the first three days of sales opening has been more than 100 thousand.

With the 'Air Albania' stadium having a maximum capacity of 22,500 seats, it seems that five more facilities will have to be built to cope with the demands. On October 16, the Albanian Football Association opened the procedure for ticketing, which would be the same as against Serbia on June 7 in Tirana (0-0).

First, fans will have to apply for a ticket (or up to 4 maximum) and then there will be a random technological selection that will reveal the lucky winners.

An email will be sent to the winners' addresses, to then make the online payment and get their tickets. There will be no physical tickets on the market for this match and everything will be online.

The national team is coming off a 0-1 victory in Serbia and this success has sparked great interest in being in the stadium against England, with the objectives at stake for a place in the 2026 World Cup play-offs.

Ticket prices

It is noticeable that most of the sectors in the stadium have increased prices for the duel with England. A small part of the most distant stands cost 2500 lek, while behind the goal a ticket costs 3500 lek. The front, that is, the most preferred section costs 9000 - 15000 lek. Meanwhile, to follow the National Team from the VIP stands you have to pay between 15000 - 50000 lek.

RANKINGS

With two games left to play, Albania is looking to hold on to second place in Group K, which will send them to the play-offs.
