LDK and PDK, in different ways, have rejected the offer of Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who earlier invited the two opposition parties to propose 3 candidates for the post of President and thus stop the country from heading towards early elections.
But it seems that the offer made by Kurti has not convinced any of the opposition parties in Kosovo, thus increasing the possibility of early parliamentary elections.
PDK Chairman Bedri Hamza, in his reaction, said that LVV's request is a political maneuver.
" This is one of the next proposals aimed solely at finding fault with his incompetence. There has been enough time to take the necessary action, not to try to make last-minute offers."
"So in PDK this issue is closed, it has been discussed at length, it has been made public that despite the constructive role we have not had understanding from Mr. Kurti and Vetëvendosje. For PDK this issue is closed. This is not an offer. It is not serious at all ," Hamza emphasized.
Meanwhile, Democratic League of Kosovo MP Besian Mustafa, responding to Vetëvendosje's proposal that the LDK and the Democratic Party of Kosovo propose three non-partisan names for president, said that these names could be proposed by VV and PDK.
" I invite LVV and PDK to jointly propose 3 names for President, candidates outside the current political scene.
Together they would easily elect the President with 88 votes (LVV 66 + PDK 22).
"Due to constitutional deadlines, I'm waiting until midnight tomorrow ," Mustafa writes.
