The United States of America has expressed appreciation for Kosovo following the decision to declare Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a terrorist organization.
The reaction came from the US Department of State, through the Bureau of Counterterrorism, which described this decision as a strong signal in counterterrorism efforts.
"Thank you Kosovo for standing against terrorism and declaring the IRGC a terrorist organization," reads the State Department's response on the X platform.
The Kosovo Government's decision was made on April 20, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on the list of terrorist organizations on the country's territory.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti has stated that this step aims to strengthen Kosovo's legal and strategic framework in relation to international security and the fight against terrorism.
