The Democratic candidate in the Durrës district, Aulon Kalaja, continues to be disappointed with the results of the May 11 elections in Albania.
Kalaja, who has requested the CEC to provide footage from vote counting cameras, states that in these elections, Prime Minister Rama had changed the scheme by throwing anonymous people into the "battle", who came out with 20,000 votes each in these elections, after being supported by organized crime.
"Durrës has been a district dictated by organized crime. Last time, half of the list ended up in prison. This time, if you look, there are people with over 20 thousand votes who have not defended any cause and behind them are vote-getters who have fed them with votes. Apparently, there was a plan from the SP with candidates who have been patronized by crime. A maneuver to see how strong this group is. In Durrës, we won in Kruja that was not won by the SP. Fushë Kruja gave the main weight.
In 2023, this municipality was lost by 10 thousand votes. I received over 820 votes from the diaspora. They are free citizens who believed in my theses. I have run a simple campaign. I have not spent more than 6 million old lekë. I am the first candidate to make this public. I had objections, tomorrow I will receive the footage from the CEC. I am not a vote hunter, I have lived with their troubles , "said Kalaja on "A2CNN"
