After Rama's order, 'loyalists' attack Dritan Goxhaj; who are the
Rama with the socialist group

After the rebuke at the Brigades Palace, some socialists attacked the protesters and especially Dritan Goxhaj, others were content with Rama's reposts, while many important figures chose silence...

The protest is entering its fourth week and the government seems to have chosen the strategy of counterattack. Not against the protesters' demands, but against the figures who are identifying with the protest.

During the extended meeting of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, held on Saturday at the Brigades Palace, Edi Rama did not hide his dissatisfaction with his MPs and ministers. According to sources, the Prime Minister reprimanded them for leaving him alone in the face of the protest that has been taking place in front of the Prime Minister's Office for weeks.

Rama's argument was that the Socialist Party was losing ground on social media and that the "algorithm" was favoring the protest and the government's opponents. For this reason, he asked MPs and ministers to increase public activity and defend the majority's positions more strongly.

It seems that the message has been understood by some. The mayor's loyalists have begun to react against the protest, and especially today, by reposting or reacting against Dritan Goxhaj, the person who read the protesters' demands at the last rally. The attack on Goxhaj today has been coordinated, both by the socialists and by the media close to them, with the aim of delegitimizing the protest and linking it to Iran.

However, the reaction has not been the same for everyone.

Some important figures of the Socialist Party have chosen to limit themselves to reposting Edi Rama's messages, without taking a direct position themselves. This category includes most of the MPs, who have contented themselves with distributing the Prime Minister's posts. So something "for show".

Meanwhile, what is most striking is the silence of some of the main figures of the Socialist Party.

Names like Igli Hasani, Anila Denaj, Ervin Hoxha, Ceno Klosi, Olta Xhaçka, Fatmir Xhafaj and Erion Braçe have not been seen involved in the recent campaign against the protest. There are no posts on social media against the thousands of names that have come out against the government.

The situation has created an unusual panorama within the majority. On the one hand, a group of socialists who are trying to follow the new line of attack against figures who identify with the protest. On the other hand, a significant number of deputies who have chosen not to get involved at all. Not to mention Marjana Koçeku, who left the SP and today directly attacked Rama. On the other hand, we have Elisa Spiropali, who supports the protesters.

This shows that despite the concern expressed by Rama at the Brigades Palace, not everyone in the Socialist Party shares the same opinion with him.

Undoubtedly, names like Ulsi Manja, Taulant Balla, Ardit Bido, Zegjine Çaushi or Sara Mila have remained loyal, but a large part has not. Most socialists have only shared Rama's posts and this was imposed by the "algorithm", some have attacked Goxhaj today, undoubtedly on orders from above. So the majority do not have their own position on the protest and this says a lot about the situation in the SP. / Pamphlet
