Marjana Koçeku, the MP who has now left the Socialist Parliamentary Group, while joining the citizen protests demanding the removal of Edi Rama as Prime Minister, has addressed an open letter to the socialist leader, telling him that he can no longer inspire and that Albanians want him gone.
"Albanians are tired and are no longer inspired by you or the old political caste. This has led them to a deep crisis of legitimacy, which can hardly be overcome without consequences or concessions," Koçek addresses Edi Rama.
In her letter, Koçek describes the protest as an expression of citizens' revolt against the political class and as an attempt to restore a sense of belonging to the country. According to her, the protesters are exercising a constitutional right and should not face contempt or denigration from the authorities.
The MP emphasizes that the protest is not against Albania's international allies, but against an internal system that, according to her, is built on fear, servility and the removal of citizens from decision-making. She appreciates the resistance of the protest participants and considers it a sign of civic awareness.
Koçeku also dwells on her political experience, stating that leaving the political formation she was a part of was a difficult but necessary decision. She claims that within political structures, different opinions were not accepted and that free debate was limited.
In her letter to the Prime Minister, the MP expresses her belief that the government and the old political class have lost the trust of citizens. According to her, the development promoted by the government is no longer perceived as such by a part of society, while citing as examples the dissatisfaction created by various public and environmental issues, including the Rrjoll and Zvërnec cases.
Koçeku argues that Albania needs a development model that respects nature, property, national identity and the interests of future generations. She adds that development cannot be considered successful if citizens are forced to emigrate to secure well-being.
The MP calls on Prime Minister Rama to listen to the protesters' demands and take what she calls the "ultimate political act", resigning. According to Koçek, this action would be in the interest of the common good and would represent an act of political responsibility towards citizens.
At the end of the letter, Koçek reminds Rama of the last messages he exchanged, where the MP is warned that she is left alone, while emphasizing that this does not scare her at all, as she is known as "Marjana of the mountains."
" In the last messages we exchanged, you told me that I would be left alone and without trust, and that not even the people of the mountains would care about me anymore. But I am not afraid to walk alone, I am and will remain Marjana of the mountains, and now I have crossed the fence of no return ," she writes.
Known as 'Neomalsorja', Koçeku appeared a few days ago at the civic protest, which was joined by hundreds of Albanians from the Diaspora, mainly from Germany, the United Kingdom and France.

Prime Minister Mr. Edi Rama
Mr. Prime Minister,
This afternoon is expected to be the 24th day of a protest of tens of thousands of citizens gathered in the square, revolted and tired of the indifference, intoxication and delirium of the power of the entire political class of the country.
The people have asked you for a series of points, which you, in addition to avoiding the confrontation and accountability that is yours as the leader of the state, are unfairly trying to insult, demean, and denigrate, even though they are exercising their fundamental constitutional right: protest.
The Albanian people have deep feelings of gratitude for the USA and this protest is not against them at all, but against the internal system that has been created over decades on fear, servility and alienation of the Albanian being. A system where, despite the initial illusions that were created in me, I did not find myself, at least not as part of a specific party.
This protest, especially since I became a physical part of it, made me realize even more that Albanians, finally, are considering their homeland as their homeland; they are seeing their country as a livable space, where they should return and not as a land from which they should leave. I admire their resistance, it shows that we have someone to serve!
The Albanian people are attempting to move from minority to sovereignty, to express their suppressed will and, after so many years, to realize the transition from personal consciousness to collective consciousness, which carries deeply and purely within itself all three eras of humanity.
Mr. Prime Minister, the new generation, to which I belong, is not intimidated like our parents' generation, which often accepted humiliation and was blackmailed by the need to survive. This generation is without complexes and seeks to manifest its energy and freedom without becoming a tool or a shadow of power.
My entry into politics was a decision that took me time to find the courage to take that step, but leaving the formation that you built and that is today in a deep intoxication of power, took me even longer until I found the courage to make it happen.

Ndërtimet, për të cilat qytetarët nuk u pyetën kurrë, i bajnë hije edhe tokës edhe qiellit. Mohuesit e rimohuesit e këtij vendi i kanë shndërrue në nji përzimje pa identitet dhe duket sikur shtyjnë njani-tjetrin me brryla. Prandaj me të drejtë, nuk besohet ma në zhvillimin që ju proklamoni.
Përçmimi i revoltës së njerëzve të thjeshtë dhe kauzave si ajo e Rrjollit, Zvërnecit e shumë të tjerave në kohë, kanë ndërtue nji ngrehinë pakënaqësish që vështirë të shembet ma.
Për ata që pyesin pse nuk fola ma herët, përgjigjja nuk kërkon shumë kohë. Drejtuesit e grupit që lashë pas nuk e pranonin mendimin ndryshe, as debatin, as ndjeshmëninë morale. Madje ata me çdo mjet përpiqen t’ia marrin frymën edhe tentativës ma të vogël për me qenë ndryshe, a me mendim të lirë.
Jam e bindun se me botëkuptime tëhuajsuese nuk mund të ndërtohen realitete të sigurta për të ardhmen. Prandaj asht koha të kalojmë nga ndërtimi i projekteve 3D te ndërtimi i nji botëkuptimi tjetër, ma autentik, të cilin kjo protestë po e mbjell dhe po e udhëheq ma së miri, nji botëkuptim ku i hueji nuk trajtohet ma mirë se i joti, nji mendësi që i lejon shqiptarit me qenë zot në shtëpinë e vet.
Anmiqtë e vendit tonë nuk kanë qenë thuejse kurrë të jashtëm, ashtu siç po përpiqeni edhe ju t’i pikturoni, por kanë qenë ma së shumti të mbrendshëm, të strukun mirë, të kollarisun dhe të kapluem nga dalldia e pushtetit dhe shkëputja nga realiteti.
Zoti Kryeministër, nji zhvillim asht i mirë vetëm kur u shërben njerëzve të vet dhe kur i mban ata në mirëqenie, pa qenë të detyruem të bahen emigrantë në tokë të huej e turistë në vend të vet. Përndryshe, ky zhvillim bahet i dhunshëm, nëse të detyron të harrosh se kush je e se kujt i përket.
Shqiptarët nuk kanë nevojë medoemos për të huejën; ata kanë nevojë për një realizëm dhe për nji zhvillim që respekton natyrën, pronën, përkatësinë tonë, vlerat dhe mbi të gjitha për një zhvillim që nuk mohon parimin e solidaritetit me brezat e ardhshëm. Ata kanë nevojë për njerëz që i përfaqësojnë me ndërgjegjen e së nesërmes.
Si deputete e kam pa nga afër dhe jam e bindun se edhe nji pjesë e madhe e elitës politike nuk ka ma besim te ju, por guximi për me u rrëfye dhe për me veprue mund të lypin edhe pak kohë.
Njerëzit munden me rrokë nji ideologji të caktueme në masën që ajo u garanton nji perspektivë individuale dhe nji siguri kolektive. Sot n’Shqipni të dyja këto po çalojnë thellësisht.
Ditë mbas dite shqiptarët në shesh dhe ata që i mbështesin prej larg po japin mesazhin se nuk janë nji popull i ndaluem dhe nuk pranojnë ma të jenë të harruem. Kjo protestë asht nji lumë i rrëmbyeshëm që rrjedh në lëkurën e historisë dhe që nuk pranon ma të trajtohet sikur nuk shihet dhe nuk ndihet.
Mosmarrëveshja mes shtetit dhe kombit çon në shkelje të randa të moralit, në aleanca pa parime, në hedonizëm të verbët dhe në fund në nji kulm të ri të së keqes: përqeshjen e Shqipnisë. Dhe ky pokerizëm që po i bahet vendit tonë, po na shpie qorrazi nëpër natë drejt përplasjes me ajsbergun.
You still have time to stop this. To repeal the clientelist and favoritism laws, to think about the Republic and the Albanian people, who have seen and experienced enough and who now deserve to be respected and protected.
I know there are many commonalities within you, but what I also know is that the prime minister is not God's servant. If the divine never asks for legitimacy, the prime minister asks for it periodically. And if you want legitimacy to be restored, then listen to the square. Listen to the voice of your people.
It is not the duty of the government to make man happy, its duty is to create the conditions for him to be happy. The protesters are neither libertines nor Jacobins; they are conscientious Albanians who have decided to return to their country, themselves and their dignity.
If I wanted the best for you, I would wish you less power and more nobility. This can only be achieved if you perform your last political act: that of resignation.
I know that this decision requires moral sensitivity, political nobility and above all patriotism. I hope you find these virtues as soon as possible, so that you can leave the country that the Albanians gave you with dignity. For this, you still have time.
The square is calling out with a voice of eumenides. It is giving the government the opportunity to impose justice. Therefore, as a member of the Parliament and as a citizen of the Republic of Albania, I call on you to act in the name of the common good; in the name of what is and not what you think it is; to reward the Albanians with your resignation.

Politika shqiptare ka një zakon të vjetër: sa herë shfaqet një figurë e re me ngarkesë emocionale, mediatike apo simbolike, vërsulen shumë njerëz për ta përdorur si armë kundër kundërshtarit të radhës. E pamë me Rudina Hajdari. U ngrit në qiell nga shumë analistë, politikanë dhe media, jo domosdoshmërisht sepse besonin tek ajo, por sepse u shërbente për betejat e tyre të momentit. Kur mbaroi dobia politike, të njëjtët njerëz që e duartrokisnin u zhdukën dhe e lanë vetëm. Sot pothuajse askush nuk flet më për të. Prandaj jam gjithmonë skeptik kur shoh entuziazëm të tepruar për figura të reja. Shpesh pas brohorimave nuk fshihet mbështetje e sinqertë, por interesi për t’i përdorur si simbol, si flamur apo si mjet presioni ndaj dikujt tjetër. Fatkeqësisht, ata që paguajnë çmimin janë vetë personat që besojnë se po ndërtojnë një karrierë politike, ndërsa në të vërtetë po përdoren në një lojë shumë më të madhe se ata. Historia politike shqiptare është plot me njerëz që u shpallën “shpresa e kombit” për disa muaj apo disa vite dhe më pas u harruan pa asnjë mëshirë. Kjo është arsyeja pse vlera e një politikani nuk matet kur e duartrokasin turmat apo mediat, por kur arrin të mbijetojë politikisht edhe pasi fiket zhurma, kamerat dhe interesat e atyre që e përdorën.
E para hajdari eshte shembull i gabuar se ka formim difektoz e te mos flasim per origjinen. E dyta kjo vajze nuk eshte ne fazen e te qenit prurje por ate te ripozicionimit politik. E treta shkruan pa shprese e ndoshta nga zhgenjim personal - zakoni i vjeter shqiptar i te ngaterruarit te qendres se botes me unin…

Ke te drejte,Shqiptaret frymezohen nga ti. Shkelqen me intelekt dhe drejtshkrim.Po na e pershtiros Shqipen me dialektin tend katunar. Shiko a te polli dhija e mos u merr me punet e Shqiperise.Deri dje se dinim nga ishe sot paske kaluar gardhin e po na ndricon me vizione. Vjen nga hici ne hiç do shkosh. Te rroft bagetija Shqiperine ka kush e udheheq.

Gjuhen letrare nuk e zgjodha une, por e mesova ne shkolle, pavaresisht dialektit ne shtepi.Nese eshte bere ndonje pune e mire ne kohen e Enverit eshte shqipja e njesuar. Sikur cdo katunar nga Jugu ose Veriu te shkruante( se e folura eshte ne rregull) ne dialekt do ishte vec percarese per Shqiptaret. Prandaj nuk zeme vend e kemi rrumuje here mbas here se cdo lloj trapi mendon qe ka te drejte edhe kur shteti funksionon. Thjesht duhet toleranz e kulture demokracije.( qe kete skemi ku ta gjejme kur te gjithe shajne me rob shpije thjesht se mendojme ndryshe)
Shume dinjitoze kjo vajza qe nuk e njoh. Mgjse me kaq langaraq sa eshte km, cdo njeri dukej sh dinjitoz e me integritet. Ky palaco mbetet rrezik dhe fatkeqesi kombetare.

Kam miq e më shumë se miq nga Mirdita e deri në Dukagjin por zonjës duhet me i tërheq pak vrejtje. Si fillim njëherë kjo për rrespekt të popullit ,kushtetutës e gjuhës së bukur SHQIPE , të filloj të na shkruaj në gjuhën letrare.Boll mo me dialektizma e krahinore se i doli boj ksaj dhisë së maleve.mue ,ktue ,revoltuem etj etj etj. Mos i jep kaq rënsi vetes o “keç i njomë” në politik.
