The leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, has reacted sharply to Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements in an interview given to the prestigious British newspaper "Financial Times".
Through a post on social media, Shehaj criticized the language used by the head of government regarding the accusations and protests that have taken place against him.
"The end of a prime minister is when he says 'F*ck You' to his people," Shehaj wrote, referring to Rama's statement in the interview with the British media.
In the interview, the prime minister responded to claims that he is behind the political and economic developments in the country, stating: "People say that I am the leader of all this. I tell them: 'F*ck You'. It's as simple as that. It's not up to me to prove that I am not the Godfather, but for them to prove that I am."
Shehaj's reaction follows his critical stances towards the government and the prime minister. Since the start of the civic protests, he has repeatedly called for Edi Rama's resignation, considering him responsible for the political and institutional situation in the country.
