Democratic MP Albana Vokshi denounced today at the 5th floor in front of the Prime Minister's Office the deep problems of the Albanian state, including the government's ties to organized crime and drugs.

She also noted the adoption of international resolutions warning of risks to European security.

Vokshi also spoke about the success of the leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, in his election as vice-president of the Centrist Democrat International (CDI) in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

Vokshi: It is now clear to the entire international community. Propaganda and corruption money no longer hide the reality of Albania under the autocratic regime of Edi Rama.

This reality is being recognized every day, it is being openly denounced in every forum, at every international conference or meeting. Today I want to share with you some of the most important events of just the last three weeks in the relations of the Democratic Party and the Opposition Front with the international factor.

I want to launch it on November 22nd, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Professor Dr. Sali Berisha, was elected to the high position of Vice President of the CDI, Centrist Democrat International, by unanimous vote. And he was elected because his historical role since the fall of communism was appreciated. With the motivation, and I want to read to you the motivation why Mr. Berisha was proposed and why he was elected.

Professor Dr. Sali Berisha has been one of the historical architects of Albania's freedom and democratic transformation. From his courageous role in the peaceful fall of communism in 1990, to his tireless leadership as president and prime minister.

He has dedicated his life to building democratic institutions, protecting political pluralism and advancing Albania's integration into NATO and the European Union. For more than three decades, the motivation for public service continues, Professor Dr. Sali Berisha has been called a steadfast defender of democracy, human rights, and European values in the Balkans.

His moral courage, vision and lifelong commitment to freedom continue to inspire democrats throughout the region and beyond. Also, the CDI political assembly unanimously adopted an important resolution for Albania, which states: the May 11 elections were neither free nor fair, they were an electoral farce.

The resolution denounces the fusion of state-party-crime, selective justice and its misuse as a tool against the opposition and opposition leaders even in the election year. The resolution warns of the danger that the Albanian narco-state poses to European security.

The European People's Party, which is a member of the CDI, not only voted and approved this resolution, but also, through the EPP Secretary General, officially emphasized the fact that one of the four EPP focus points in the future will be Albania. What did Ms. Monserrat say? The EPP insists that Albania's membership in the European Union be conditioned on stopping the democratic slide and the capture of the media and justice, carried out by the leadership linked to drug trafficking, organized crime and money laundering.

Never before have the international factor, important institutions such as the CDI, the EPP, highlighted this connected narco-state, which has made a pact with organized crime and drug cartels. The EPP's stance constitutes a clear political signal towards European institutions and Albanian authorities, underlining the importance of returning to the standards of the rule of law.

In Copenhagen, at the meeting of the foreign affairs committees on December 1, I informed all these committees of member and candidate countries that Albania must become a country like Denmark, with freedom and without corruption, only through the rule of law, free elections, independent justice, and functional institutions.

In Washington, December 2 to 5, the IDU, another political formation with dozens of center-right and far-right parties, unanimously voted for another important resolution on the situation in Albania.', said MP Albana Vokshi during her speech.
