The most voted candidate from the open list, Ndrec Pjetri, declared that the Democrats in Durrës have been without direction for months. He said that after May 11, the structures have been dispersed and do not receive any signal from the center. " We have become like ravens, neither where we are nor where we are going. A protest has started in Tirana, no organization is heard. We must raise our voices. We do not have the luxury of internal war. This journey is not done for personal interest. If someone uses it for personal interest, I will be the first to leave ", said Pjetri.

Former FRPD leader Artion Bajramaj spoke about the primaries process, which he called necessary but sabotaged. He criticized the way the race was managed and the interventions after the winners were announced. “ The primaries electrified the people. The rules are set up front, they cannot be set back. We cannot all enter the race, someone wins, and then someone higher up does not like the winner. We had problems with the closed lists. We had problems with the role of the deputies ,” said Bajramaj.

The meeting in Durrës aims to re-establish communication with the base and clarify the political steps of the DP. The tour of Salijanj and Alimehmet is expected to continue in other districts with similar reactions, while the Democrats are seeking clear rules and the avoidance of internal crises that penalize them in every election.

“Today Albania is not being governed, but is being plundered.” This is how Ervin Salianji addressed the democrats who had filled the hall at the “Pulpit” in Durrës, the first of a series of meetings that he has announced he will hold throughout Albania.

In his speech, the member of the DP Presidency made a combination of accusations against Edi Rama and criticism of the functioning and behavior of the opposition.

Salianji spoke about the Government's ties to crime, describing Durrës as one of the cities where this is evident, while emphasizing that the Port of Durrës has turned into an inn without gates.

"We have a government that has no sensitivity for citizens, but billions go to Edi Rama's people," he said.

He said that this is an important moment where every word has weight and every discussion creates a wave for the DP.

"You have contributed to the DP, facing an autocracy that controls everything and in return you have asked for nothing but lackluster attention.

We are here today because the democrats are calling. Albania is calling. And their calls should neither be embellished nor relativized.

These calls are a pain that should weigh heavily on the weight and responsibility of every politician in the DP, whether voted for or not.

I have personally felt this call and I believe our response should be clear.

The DP must prepare to lead the change that everyone is waiting for.

"And this change is starting from this hall that is starting. From this energy that is inexhaustible, but is not given the opportunity for reasons that each of you knows," said Salianji.

According to him, the Democrats are concerned, but no one will forgive us if we do not respond to their concerns in a timely manner.

"Edi Rama uses dirty political means, he has made politics irresponsible. But we must say it openly, another reason is the inability of the DP to be convincing, to bring Albanians to the ballot boxes," said Salianji.

He said that the last local by-elections showed that Edi Rama, despite the pressures, did not manage to get more than 15 thousand voters, but it was even worse for the DP, which did not manage to get more than 2,500 or 3 thousand voters.

"Ministers and officials are facing justice, but they are not leaving their posts. But again, the DP is not growing, it is not managing to raise Albanians in revolt. So today is the time to speak," said Salianji.

He said that the DP should listen to the Democrats, otherwise it will make a serious mistake.

"The DP is a vocation, a national asset, an extraordinary power, which must be opened and renewed. Freshness brings hope," he said.

Ilir Alimehmeti, member of the National Council of the Democratic Party of Albania and one of the most voted names on the open list of candidates for MP in the May 11 elections, joined the "Speech" that was held in Durrës and initiated by the member of the Presidency, Ervin Salianji.

At the beginning of his message, Alimehmeti said that the Democrats are strong, because even though they have been in opposition for 12 years, they have enthusiasm.

"The sooner we remove this government, the better, and this is only done by the right wing that puts the interests of Albania before the party," he said.

Alimehmeti said that this is a spirit to unite democrats, to create a stronger DP.

"You understood that this is a spirit to bring everyone together to discuss and do the best possible thing."

"We need to understand how we need to improve, we need to understand that here we don't only have financial corruption from Edi Rama's Government, but we also have moral corruption," said Alimehmeti, who stated that the DP is a free party and we need to express our opinions, to fight them with the Democrats and not only.

Member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party of Albania, Ervin Salianji, spoke from Durrës shortly before the start of the meeting with the Democrats and the structures of this party.

Salianji stated that this meeting focuses on returning the attention of politics to citizens, meetings and conversations for a single goal, the resurgence of the Democratic Party.

"The hall is full, it is important that any of the politicians, but especially those of the DP, return to the people, to the coffees, to the meetings, to the conversations, to make possible the resurgence of the DP, the renewal, I will be at every meeting where the Democrats ask me to share their thoughts on how the DP can become strong and be a governing alternative. "The Democratic Party should be an alternative that defeats Edi Rama and the SP government. The MPs are in the National Council, it was intended by the organizers to be a format where people speak openly and clearly and to take their opinions where they need to be," he said.

Former MP Salianji has announced that from Wednesday, December 3, he will begin a series of meetings with the Democrats, starting in the city of Durrës.

The meeting will also be attended by heads of structures, former MPs and leaders over the years, as well as the vast majority of group section leaders.

The most voted MPs of Durrës District, Aulon Kalaja and Ndrec Pjetri, will also be part of the meeting. It is also learned that Ilir Alimehmeti, the most voted candidate of the open list of the Democratic Party in Tirana, who failed to obtain a mandate as an MP, has also joined the meeting.

Immediately after Berisha's warning, the next move was made by the leaders of the DP branches in Durres. A message sent by Osman Stafa, leader of branch 2, and Ardi Muka, of branch 1, has reached the DP membership, asking them not to participate in the meeting called by Salianji.
