"Foltorja 2", DP holds another protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office; Rama's resignation is demanded

The Democrats' rally in front of the Prime Minister's Office has ended.

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha has closed the protest, saying that they will not stop until Edi Rama leaves.

In his speech during the opposition rostrum, Berisha emphasized that the president of the CDI, the general secretary of this organization, the general secretary of the PPE and a series of other speakers denounced Edi Rama's narco-dictatorship.

" Edi Rama's drugs have taken hold. Edi Rama is compared today to the most hated narco-dictators on the planet ," said Berisha.

According to Berisha, these are encouraging messages to continue the battle to overthrow the government, as he called on young people to save the country.

" My friends, these messages are a call, they are a great encouragement for us to continue this battle with all our courage, with all our strength. The Democratic Party held its second rally in front of the Prime Minister's Office today.

In the end, the one who took the floor was former Prime Minister Berisha, who commented on Prime Minister Rama's request to the Constitutional Court regarding the measure against Minister Belinda Balluku.

Berisha said that he did this for himself, as it is his firm in Llogara and not Balluk's.

" Do you think that in the Constitutional Court she went for Balluk? She does it only for herself. In Ankara she could not go for the Llogara tunnel. Ram took her with him. The prime minister does not go after the minister, it is the opposite. In Ankara, Rama did the shopping. She is who she is, but Rama is in Ankara and in Llogara. He is also for the Vlora Airport. He is also for the burners. Forget his poetry ," he said.

Spaç miner Kastriot Prenga raised his voice at the DP rally for their rights.

I am Kastriot Prenga, from Mirdita. Father of 3 children, and for several years I have been working as a miner in the Spaç Mine. I believe that there are few in this country who have not heard of this mine, where during the dictatorship quite a few people lost their lives. And to this day, the conditions in the mine have not changed much since then. The company sells the copper from our underground, but will not care about those who extract it. We are poor people whose plight has forced us to work for a salary that cannot even be called that.

But for almost a month, and the little alms they gave us by going tens of meters underground, I no longer have it. This is because we dared to demand our rights! We demanded a more dignified salary and better working conditions. We are not slaves to be treated as such. I am one of those 70 miners that the company fired at the drop of a pen just because we dared to demand a better life for our children. We complained to the state, but the minister pretended not to listen.

The people sent by the Labor Inspectorate to negotiate, instead of stopping there at the mine gate, went to the administration offices. We waited for them for six hours in the rain and wind, and when they came out they told us: “Stop the strike, you will be left without bread, what will you feed your children?” I am telling those gentlemen: leave your chairs and power not for a day, but for an hour, and try working in our country. I believe you would not resist.

We also protested in front of the Parliament, on October 30. Socialist MPs came and went, looking at us, but for them we did not exist, just as we do not exist for the state and the company, which seems to have paid the price for this building here. Why did we rise up? For working conditions, because we enter the gallery and do not know if we will leave. For a salary that would provide us with a more dignified life. In those lands we were born, raised and gave birth to children. But its profits are disappearing into the pockets of the government and who knows where. For us, nothing.

Today the weather has cooled in Mirdita and the snow has started. I am unemployed, my children need heating and clothing, the snow will do its thing and you don't ask whether you have or don't have to buy firewood or clothing. Where can we complain, who will take care of me and my friends? Today I hear about millions stolen, in tunnels, on the roads, with concessions, or who knows what else, while we are in front of the mine doors every day for a living. This is the state and these are the ones who run us today. Because of these thieves, we are where we are. Our brothers and children are fleeing, because only those with money and power have the right to live here.

I don't get involved in politics much, but I'm here in this protest because no one can bargain with my life and the lives of my children. I'm here because I'm aware that in a responsible government, this wouldn't happen. A responsible government wouldn't tell me how to live, but would protect my rights. But when it steals and doesn't govern, this happens. That's why we all need to stand up, because it's not just us miners who are suffering. Farmers, pensioners, and small businesses are suffering too. The sooner this government breaks its neck, the sooner the thieves go to prison, the more hope we'll have for living as people. Enough is enough. Thank you.

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha began his speech on "Foltore 2" with a thank you, describing his appointment as Deputy President of the CDI as an honor for the democrats and their sacrifice.

Berisha said that today he returns from Brazil and has supporters all over the world in the fight against evil, the government. He called on citizens to "continue this battle."

Berisha stressed that the country has the most corrupt and anti-Albanian government. He added that this government, headed by Edi Rama, will be remembered as the most thieving government the Albanian nation has ever had.

The Democratic Party has held its next protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, called "Foltorja 2".

In front of the podium located on the boulevard, DP MP Saimir Korreshi called on the supporters present to "fight" Prime Minister Rama's government.

He emphasizes that Rama and his deputies steal the state budget, plunging the country into corruption. The DP deputy warns of the arrest of the prime minister, as involved in corrupt affairs.

"I am used to always speaking in Parliament in front of thieves and you will feel me if I have any great emotion in front of you. The day has come for the handcuffs to be hung in the middle of this square from you. Dear mothers who sleep with photos of their children who have gone away, dear miners who have gone on strike and protested for your status. Dear brothers and sisters who cannot find cures in hospitals, there is only one word and that is 'Rama go'. Rama go, go with spirit.

"Rama with 40 thieves was a word, but he has gone with 400 thieves. Rama is leaving, but with that tunnel of corruption that has engulfed him. The state budget cannot be treated like their money. It is our day, these ministers who steal from the citizens day after day. Rama is leaving with the whole camp," said Korreshi.

Democratic Party MP Oerd Bylykbashi, in his speech at the podium located in front of the Prime Minister's office, said that the government is stealing from Albanians.

He accuses SPAK of joining Rama's game to protect Belinda Balluku.

Bylykbashi has called on every citizen to join the protest and react to the theft until the total disappearance of this government.

"The messages coming in about this clique are getting stronger and stronger. The days of this clique are getting shorter and shorter."

"Bela found us, If you steal a loaf of bread, they'll put you in a cell, if you steal from the people, they'll give you a minister, Europe's Noriega, Elections without Rama," are some of the banners in the hands of the protesters. 

Democrats gathered again this evening in front of the Prime Minister's Office to protest against the government. The head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, spoke to the media during a meeting in front of the prime minister's office. He said that the citizens will have the floor, while he said that he will speak to the Spaç miners.

" This platform is to listen to the voice of citizens and I believe that in each platform different voices will be heard that will join us to express their concerns. Today, for example, it will be the miners of Spaç ," he said.

Regarding the ongoing strategy, Bardhi added that it will be the DP leadership that will decide.

While the other MP, Korreshi, said: " We expect all the thieves of citizens' funds to be put in prison and of course their removal from the government ."

Opposition militants gathered again this evening in front of the Prime Minister's Office, as part of the tour of rallies that began last Monday.

The DP has decided to hold weekly rallies in front of the Prime Minister's Office, demanding the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama and Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.

Like last time, today's rally began shortly after 6:00 PM and the participation is not large. The DP itself has stated that its goal is not participation, but the determination to demand the removal of this government.

This scenario began after what the DP calls a blockade in the Parliament. The opposition has requested investigative committees, interpellations or motions with debate, but has been rejected. For this reason, the Parliament has moved to the Prime Minister's Office where representatives of the party speak, but not only.

The rally was also attended by DP leader Sali Berisha, who returned from Brazil shortly after. As soon as he got off the plane, he went to his apartment and immediately headed to the rally. The first to speak at the rally was Oerd Bylykbashi, while other DP representatives are expected to speak after him.
