Besnik Hasi has opened a new chapter in his coaching career, taking charge of Amedspor in Turkey. The former Albanian national team midfielder has been officially introduced at the helm of the Turkish team and aims to return the team to the highest levels of domestic football, with the ambition of getting closer to the important European stages again.
Hasi comes to this position after his experience at Anderlecht in Belgium. Although he managed one of the most popular Belgian clubs, he failed to turn the team into a serious contender for the championship title. After leaving the Anderlecht bench a few months ago, the Albanian coach has chosen to continue his career outside of Belgium.
Just a few days after his presentation at Amedspor, the first names that could strengthen the team have started to circulate. According to Turkish media reports, the club is interested in Albanian national team striker, Rei Manaj.
Manaj returned to Sivasspor during the winter transfer window, but the situation at the club has changed after management moves in recent weeks. The Albanian striker is expected to leave the team, which failed to secure a return to the Turkish football elite.
However, Amedspor is not the only club interested in his services. Turkish media reports that Çorum FK and Kayserispor are also monitoring the striker's situation, making the race for his signature even stronger ahead of the new season.
