The 14th consecutive protest in the capital continues with citizens marching towards the Tirana Police Directorate, after previous stops in front of the Prime Minister's Office and the Albanian Parliament.
The protesters, who initially gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Office, then marched towards the Parliament, where they expressed their dissatisfaction with the institutions and the political class. After standing for several minutes in front of the Parliament, the crowd continued its movement towards the Police Directorate.
During the march, chants of "Rama resign", "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison" and "Join us" were constantly heard, slogans that have accompanied the protest since its beginning. Protesters were seen holding banners with political messages, as well as national flags and flags of countries where the Albanian diaspora lives.
Participants say the march to the country's main institutions aims to convey their message for more justice, transparency and institutional accountability. Meanwhile, numerous police forces have been deployed along the route to ensure order and security.
