In the offices of the Korça Directorate, until late in the evening, a plan was being hatched to arrest the much-wanted Violand Braçellari.
The latter was wanted due to a 10-year prison sentence, while during the years of his escape he had committed several other serious crimes.
The operational plan was triggered by a report made by citizen Aleksandër Kola, who worked as a shepherd for the cattle of citizen Violand Braçellari. According to the report, he had been raped and threatened with the point of an automatic weapon by Violand.
Aleksandr told Violand that he had to go to Durrës, that his mother was sick and that he did not want any money, since he would return again, but only asked for some money for the road. Violand started cursing at the servants of the house and Aleksandr cursed him, while Violand started punching him and kept the gun with him the whole time. Violand pointed the Kalashnikov at him several times, but his mother would come and intervene.
This denunciation was the spark that mobilized the Korça Police Department to launch an action to capture the wanted person.
